I’ve been lucky enough to be living in Vietnam for the past few weeks. In stark contrast to the chaos and noise of the streets, it’s quite common to see these small wooden fishing boats quietly cruising around the lakes. What first caught my eye is that the oars are lashed to an short upright and peddled with their feet. They are very stable, surprisingly fast and can turn on a dime. I couldn’t resist shooting some footage and making a short video in time for the launch of the 2014 range of Hobie boats and kayaks. Who knows, perhaps the design will catch on back home …
Enjoy!
