Australian Fishing blogs- sharing the love- update :)

Update: I’ve published an updated list- since this post was published, a bunch of great new blogs have come online- the new post, with even more blogs is here

Soon after we started this blog I put together a list of Australian fishing blogs. The list is now pretty out of date, there have been some great new blogs come out and I’ve discovered a few more. So without further ado, a list of Australian fishing blogs. They come from all over the country, from professionals and amateurs like ourselves, all of them have something to offer. If you have any to add, add them to the comments and I’ll update the post 🙂

Micks gone fishing– Located in Mackay, one of the best blogs going around

Cods country– without doubt the best Murray cod fly fishing blog in the world 😉

Manic tackle blog– while manic tackle make great flies and sell gear they also run an excellent blog. Mainly Nez Zealand but regular Australian contributions. Check it out 🙂

Cod on the cast– another great cod blog- lures this time 🙂

The rambling expat– another exceptional blog focussing on the North of Oz

Lure and fly– bream and bass goodness

Backcountry fishing– Natives fishing in lake Eildon and surrounds, bream and flathead fishing in the estuaries (South Gippsland etc) and fly fishing in the back country. Great blog well worth a read 🙂

Phillip Weigall– writer of great fly fishing books and a great blogger

We flick fishing– their youtube channel is a great video blog, top quality content 🙂

Fly life– not really a blog, but one of the best Australian fly fishing mags and they make heaps of content freely available on the web 🙂

Starlo fishing– Steve Starling entered the world of blogging. That was a good thing.

Fish life- Starlo’s magazine also has loads of free content on the web 🙂 Well worth a look

Josh and Jaime fishing– Our friends here at the blog and creators of wonderful fishing content 🙂

Secret barramundi– Hiro is a cult figure in Darwin. Land based barra blogging at its best

Untamed fly fishing– the post about tailing loops has helped me start to get rid of mine (Late in the day as I get tired I am prone to tailing loops and swearing profusely)

Landangler– been around longer than most and still going strong 🙂

One last cast– blogs and regular video updates

Rod Paxevanos– Canberra fishing identity, mighty murray cod chaser and blogger

Riverfly– tasmanian fly fishing goodness

Fishing world blogs- fishing world runs five blogs as well as having lots of useful news etc

Ben Caddaye– been very quite of late- hopefully returns soon

Fishing western Australia– another homegrown amateur blog, keep up the good work

Josh Edmonds fishing Australia– young up and comer 🙂

Nice post and will very helpful for the newbie’s and instructors too. When it comes to give a lesson on fishing equipments or any other equipments to a newbie having some basic then it is always good and easy for instructor to train him but sometime its too tough for them to teach the newbie first time having no basic idea. This post is going to help all newbie’s and instructors too. Thanks a lot for the post, keep on going…
